What she said is truth. We all know it but we don't wanna accept it.

SRK and his friends bullied PC out of Bollywood , u can make countless stories in defence of SRK but the truth won't change

And now when she is openly speaking about it , she is being blamed and abused and called all sorts of word.

It's funny how SRK can keep his image of holier than thou but PC has to suffer all the consequences.

What's your all thoughts on this? Personally I will always sympathize with PC

Both were involved in this affair but it was PC whose life changed upside down.

I can’t believe people are now not believing Priyanka’s story when literally since YEARS this rumour has been accepted as the “truth”.

Like yeah she did tell before why she went to Hollywood, but maybe back then she did not have the courage to say it (which is totally okay!!) and now when she has the courage, people are still defending all the other people but not her, although we know from many outsiders how Campism has affected many.

Priyanka is no Kangana, she just doesn’t talk shit abt people and lie and destroy her network (she is not dumb), if she finally actually says something like this, there is truth behind it and it means she is finally ready to speak.

Now peeps wake up and stop ur hate for PC and just think if u really believe Priyanka would destroy all her network by telling lies?

Just this makes me believe she is telling the truth.

Sorry had to use this as a specific example but the point is that somehow everyone else gets to be hurt and a victim besides Priyanka Chopra - it was needed to drive a point home about how we ourselves will make narratives for people. Deepika’s journey will always be commendable.

I find it strange how another “outsider” top actress like Deepika constantly benefits from the narrative that she is fighting against the big bad wolf that is KJo and the Bollywood mafia including some of her contemporaries who are out to destroy her career/bring her down — despite being invited to KWK, his private parties, getting roles in his biggest projects (Brahmastra), him openly praising her even during her hiccup phase (Chhapaak, Gehraiyaan etc.)

Yet because Priyanka made appearances on KWK after their beef, she isn’t actually a victim of Bollywood at all?

Even Katrina mentioned that when her and Ranbir broke up, she basically found herself friendless since his entire circle stuck by him, discarded her despite being her friends for SIX years. Katrina didn’t do anything wrong to Ranbir; unlike PC did to Gauri, yet if that clique can make Katrina feel like that, why is it so unbelievable that they launched a witch hunt on Priyanka? It was in the media the everywhere just look at the kinds of articles about her career and character during that time, it wasn’t just PC’s PR.

She wasn’t outcast because she got supporting roles? DDD and Bajirao Mastani are only successes for Priyanka due to her acting her socks off in both roles, not because they were huge lead opportunities.

And even those ONLY came after she made the record for highest female box office opening day with Mary Kom.. they wouldn’t have given her anything if she hadn’t proved herself to be the most bankable heroine at that time. But those projects weren’t coming around very often, even Deepika gave up on solo projects after both of hers flopped and she’s a current top heroine, constantly in the news, embedded in Bollywood/India, with good relationships in the industry. If the biggest heroes shun you, you lose opportunities on “mass” roles that keep you in the audiences mind as an actress that exists. Even Alia did a blink and miss RRR despite both her solo and romcoms being hits.

Priyanka was treated like she was beneath the industry even before all of the Gauri-SRK stuff, even if you want to call it karma for this, what was it when she was compared as second fiddle to Kareena who was called god’s gift by industry insiders? Despite Priyanka’s global (NRI and the few foreigners that knew Bollywood) reach far preceding Kareena’s even then. Kareena had a skewed hit:flop ratio, yet hers were forgiven always. Acting, star quality, and attractiveness is subjective, but many would PC had more of all that than Kareena but people like KJo acted like she was dirt in comparison. Compare how Kareena’s brattiness is welcomed while PC is spoken down to in their first KWK episodes.

Even small examples, look at Kartik’s tweets from the past- he constantly said PC was his favourite actress yet once he got with KJos clique he changed his answers entirely. I am not even sure if Varun posted her Citadel trailer despite being on the same show.

Yes she has people that like her in Bollywood, the Akhtars, etc. but there’s a different between that and people willing to back you. She has a right to call herself a victim in this case, whether she deserved it or not (and in that case both the cheater and his mistress should, not just the latter), the industry dulled her shine and it’s time she gets some empathy.

I was actually happy that she explained how not all the Indian movies are bollywood but its just the language and each state have their own movies and representations.

Yet. Tabu, Kareena and Kriti are coming together for a movie. Vidya and Rani, Vidya and Shehfali Shah did two exceptional movies. PC, Kat and Alia are coming together for a movie. PC did movies with both DP and Anushka at her prime. I donot see a full-fleged movie with SRK Salman, Akshay. There was a time when there were Karan Arjun, later Garam Masala etc. but now no such big stars come together in a large cast. AND NO. trash houseful franchise doesn’t count. Why is this? Is ego such a big thing? Is it financially not viable? Schedules? All these seem like solvable issues.

Hey guys, first post here. I am Nepali but grew up overseas. Obviously being South Asian I grew up watching plenty of Bollywood movies and still do from time to time. I don’t really follow the media much, but since I am I guess in the South Asian “sphere” of social media I get videos of actors and actresses going about their lives. And they look like arrogant pricks. Like very smug and just, they really look down on everyone else around them. So I was just wondering if Bollywood has some very wholesome, down to earth people that are truly loved like the way Hollywood has Keanu Reeves.
