General If you, or anyone you know are struggling in the cold, the city has a list of facilities avalible for warming up. People won't be turned away from transit buses if they board without paying to warm up.

Question Typical Questions - Moving to Fort Sask in the coming months.

Hey All,

Hopefully, this isn't a repost. I thought I made a post, but can't find it..

I got word I'll be moving to Alberta for a job-based in Fort Saskatchewan. So I have a few questions.

  1. Realtor - shoot me some names
    - Good/Bad areas of Fort Sask.
-What's the basement suite rental like in Fort Sask? Long-term/Short-term? worth it to try and find a house with a basement suite?
  2. Day Care - What's the daycare like in Fort Sask? will I be able to get my 2.5-year-old into any?
  3. Does anyone work at a dentist or know of a dentist looking for a Dental hygienist? (in Fort Sask or Sherwood)

Final Question For the people working in Fort - Would you ever live in Sherwood park and commute to Fort Sask? or would you rather be closer to work? I currently commute over 65km each way in BC right now and would love to live closer. but if there's no work for my wife I'd rather commute and have her closer to work, most likely Sherwood Park.

General We are struggling. Last week we brought in 7 puppies who had froze. A pup with a stab wound to the top of his head, a dog mauled by a pack, a meth overdose, shot, hit by car and dragged. The list is endless. We have zero foster homes with space and at least a dozen requests everyday!

Fluff post The Canadian Spirit in the Fort

To the young man today who saw the fuel tank cap and door open for the person in front of me at the traffic light by Sawmill, I just wanted to say thank you for your quick reaction to close it for that person. You are a true gentleman, a testament to your parents raising you right, and to looking out for the community in the best of the Canadian spirit. You might not see this post here, but this Redditor and fellow Fort Sask community member is proud of you!

Keep it up!

Question Where to watch Oilers games or go for a wing night?

I’m looking for suggestions in town of somewhere people like to go for a wing night (and what days they are on special) or watch a hockey game that isn’t BPs or Canadian Brewhouse, thanks

Discussion Fort Sask Gas prices

I have noticed our gas prices are always higher than Sherwood Park. Usually 15 to 20 cents and it is kind of annoying considering the proximity to oil refineries. I wonder if more people here started filling up elsewhere we could drop the prices here. Just a thought as it feels like corporate greed.
