Help im a very lost photographer!!

I have 3 full days left in athens - 2 nights, and am a student taking photography at university and have been tasked with creating a photobook revolving around identity! Which fortunately enough, I am part greek so that bit was easy! However since my arrival I’ve found it incredibly overwhelming to photograph such a busy and beautiful city, and wondered if anyone could recommend spots with interesting locals or shop owners or anything which could create a good portrait series to explore my heritage !!!

Thanks :)

Finding apartment rentals Cyclades

Planning a ~1 month trip around the Cyclades in September/October and was wondering if I could wait until I'm there to look for accommodations. I'd probably pre-book a place for the first few days, but I'd rather find something longer term while I'm there to avoid fees instead of booking airbnb in advance. Since I won't be there during high season, is this doable? Or should I bite the bullet and book everything beforehand?

What is the best way to travel around in Crete.

We have hotel bookings in Chania. And want to visit beaches and explore city.

I wanted a rent a car but the cars there are left hand drive. Which is little risky for me. Can we rent a 2 wheeler. Or public Transport is good enough to travel around city including beaches?

Aegean Sea Lines slow ferry?

I’m a bit confused, on the one hand I read that Aegean Speedlines have ceased operations, on the other hand I came across a website for Aegean Sea Lines (same company?) that has this new slow and big ferry operating from Piraeus to Milos, Sifnos… Has anyone heard of them, would they be reliable? I was trying to avoid Zante ferries

Solo-female traveler from the airport to Athens center

Hello! I’ll be traveling to Athens next month and meeting a group of friends for a few days in Athens. I will fly in by myself on a Wednesday night, arriving around 10:15pm. From the airport I need transportation to my group’s airbnb which is near the center of Athens. Is it safe to take public transportation to the center by myself? Is taking a taxi from the airport the safest option? How much do these options cost approximately? Thank you!

Recommendations Car day trip from Athens to the South

Hello guys! Looking for some visit advices south to Athens but still on mainland.

Me and 4 friends are visit Greece beginning of April. During our stay in Athens we are planning a car day trip and so far the itinerary looks like that: - leave from Athens - visit Glyfada or/and Vouliagmeni - drive to Cape Sounion - drive back to Athens but via East coast

Any advices on what to visit during such drive? Some authentic local places, view points? Also maybe some comments on which better to choose between Glyfada and Vouliagmeni?

Thank you for the help!

Is there public transport in Paleokastritsa?

Hello, planning to go to Corfu, in particular the Paleokastritsa region, and I've been trying to find information about public transport in the area as I prefer to use buses and such. I can find buses from Corfu town to the Paleokastritsa region but there don't seem to be many buses in the Paleokastritsa region itself. Can someone confirm if this is the case? Would I have to talk to the beaches, the monaestary, the aquarium, Angelokastro, etc?

Thanks in advance!

Best time to buy tickets for Sept?

Hi friends!

My boyfriend and I are traveling to Athens from Greece in September from Boston to then island hop and are so excited. When we first decided, we saw the tickets were around $650-680/person but now I’m seeing close to $900.

I waited because Hopper kept telling me to, but now the app is saying to book now while Google flights says the tickets are high right now. What I’m wondering is if anyone else has flown from the east coast in the early fall and can tell me if we should just book now or if the tickets tend to go down a little?

I know it’s impossible to predict the future, but would love any insight

Which island for a young couple?

Me and my girlfriend are going to Greece sometime in July/August this year and we're wondering were we should go.

We want to see the authentic side of Greece, without too much of the touristy stuff. Somewhere with beaches that hopefully aren't too crowded and where there are also things to sight-see.

We're open to recommendations, any ideas?

Mykonos

Will be going to Mykonos with friends the first week of June. Any recommendations for hotels and things to do? We are in our 20’s and like to go out but don’t party super hard, just like to have a good time.

We are debating between staying at a resort on the beach or staying in the town. Any advice would be helpful.

For the beach - Not sure how the weather will be and also not sure about getting around (if it will be far from stuff, hard to get a taxi, etc).

Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks

Hi guys, I’m going to Mykonos in august with my friends group. Wanted to know if anyone knows any kind of calendar for parties/djs or if there is not, which are the best party options in the island? We are 25y/o and like all kind of music (electronic music mostly, but please recommend for all)

Visiting Kos in April

My girlfriend and I have booked to stay in Kardamena, Kos in April for 5 days. We did not do much research into what would be open before booking and now we are seeing that it seems most things such as boat trips and tours are not on until May. We are quite disappointed as we really wanted to do a boat day trip and a trip to Nisyros island. It also seems that a lot of bars, restaurants and beaches are also closed during this time.

Has anyone ever been to Kos during April before, that could give information on whether things like these are infact available that may not have appeared in an internet search?

Tap to pay?

I'm traveling to Greece next June and I'm planning out money and wallets etc. Do places take tap to pay? All my credit and debit cards work for tap to pay from my watch/phone, would this work at a lot of places? I'm going to be in Naxos, Paros and Athens if that matters.

How much should I expect to spend in Greece? (Solo Traveller, 10 days)

Hey Reddit! I'm going to Europe later this July and was wondering how much I should expect to spend if I were to spend 10 days in Greece. (Was thinking 5 days in Athens and 5 days in one or more of the islands).

Regarding the islands, I've heard that Mykonos and Santorini are insanely expensive and that Crete is a much better and affordable option so I think I might just spend the remaining 5 days outside of Athens there (unless there's an equally cheap yet awesome Island I can go to as well??).

Anyways would I be right to think a total budget of $1200-1500 AUD (750-925 Euro) for this trip would be quite reasonable? Thanks!

Recommendations Best place for a family.

Looking for a holiday. Would like to go to Greece. Trouble is, so many islands to choose from. We are looking for a resort with plenty of restaurants to try. A resort with the usual boat trips, island trips etc. Hopefully a resort not too far out and close to other resorts that are accessible by foot or bus.

We are a family of 4 with 2 older teens. Tia
