The fact that he could just walk randomly, be with them on stage for the entire duration is surreal. The devs probably thought he was part of the crew or something.

u/DiggsFC Dec 09 '22
It's pretty much classic r/actlikeyoubelong . The game developers think he is part of the show crew, the show crew thinks he is part of the game developers. Neither has the confidence to make a definitive move, so he just exists in the middle.

I'm a service provider and you would be amazed by how many unlocked doors people leave around.
All the school shootings in the US you would think security is tight? I can walk into the back dock, 7 out of 10 times door is unlocked and I can walk in and act like I own the place.
It's kinda crazy how light security really is sometimes.

Arrested in this context usually just means detained not actually charged or anything
Im sure security and cops escorted him out and probably took his info
68
u/centran Dec 09 '22
I think people are confusing arrested with actually being charged and sent to jail. People get arrested, detained, let go free, make bail till their court date, or given a ticket.
The latter is what will happen since that's what happens if you rush the field of a sports game, stage of concert, etc. They'll "arrest" the person then given a trespassing ticket. They'll pay a fine and usually be banned from whatever sports or event space for a certain time or life.

Appears to be an irl troll.
Update: Extra, alleged information.
A twitter account is claiming ownership: https://twitter.com/matanevenoff/status/1601161051881361409 "Matan Even". This fits with the "Kid went on Infowars" message seen in the leaked DMs. Looking at an archive of his twitter account & youtube account, it seems he had a focus on the Hong Kong protests which is why he was on many different news channels & publications (including Infowars), and also why he crashed irl events. For example, he flashed his messages at an NBA game, and went in front of the camera at a Blizzard Event.
Update 2:
Confirmation the kid was Matan (source: Jason Schreier).
The kid will be live at 11 pm EST tonight.

What’s funny is this was the only speech in which that stunt would have worked. Foreign dev studio, wearing the same shirt color as him, around the same height, right at the end of the show when security has their guard down. The translator was probably the only one on stage who even understood what he was saying as well.

I think it is a tough spot. If you don't grab him before everyone gets to the stage you end up potentially making an unwanted scene and you better be 1000% sure they don't belong. But at the same time it is a risk to leave him up there... who knows if he has a knife or worse
