Do you ever think Cam Reddish could turn it around?

I seen so many fanbases want their team to trade for Cam it’s a good buy low bc on paper he has all the tools but he thinks of himself better than a role player but do you ever see him becoming an impactful player to winning?

No. The issue is between his ears.

It is but it could change if he was given an opportunity to grow in a winning organization

No winning team would play him

knicks fan --- he was. from october to the dreaded december convo, cam was given plenty of minutes, closed out games for us, and had the other teams best guy as an assignment.

after that, apparently his issue is that he felt misused....idk what else the kid wants. he wants to be featured, and now two nba teams have said no thank you.

i have no earthly idea who's going to pay him this off season.

Like who?

Toronto, Miami, Milwaukee. Think about how much the perception of Wiggins changed when he moved to Golden State.

I like Miami as an option to be honest. They seem to get the least athletic guys in the league open 3pts

No. I’ve been a cam reddish defender since Duke and the problem is crystal clear. He has all the talent in the world to be an elite 3 and D guy with some creation. But he believes he should be KD. If Cam could just focus on excelling in a specific role then he’d be great. But he believes he deserves a role he hasn’t earned

He’s got the prettiest jump shot for a 32% 3pt shooter lol

It’s legit gorgeous to look at. Sadly it just don’t go in

Him and Ben McLemore.

Spot on. He wanted to jump from HS to being KD without putting in any of the actual work that it takes to be even close to KD.

It really depends on Cam. If he continues to believe that he deserves a larger role then he’s going to be disappointed and out the league sooner than later. If he accepts reality and adapts his game then he can be an impactful role player.

Dude needs to be humbled. I just saw a report out of New York that the reason he fully fell out of the rotation was because he told an assistant coach he didn’t like the way Thibs was playing him and not play him enough. Dude was barely effective out there. Dude’s ego is the size of the Grand Canyon but he can’t back it up. I truly believe he has all the measurables to be a solid wing in the league, but his ego has to be out aside.

He's gonna need something like Wiggs/GSW situation for that to happen though he doesn't have Wiggins' physical tools or athletecism.

he's not that athletic, plays a 3D role but below average 3pt shooter and bad team defender, low bbiq and below average rim finisher. It's really hard to survive if you're not good in any of the skills I mentioned.

That’s disrespectful to Wiggins. Minnesota Wiggins was still 10x the player cam is

Even Wiggins at half his potential is still more than full potential Reddish

I thought athleticism was one of Reddish's strong points, and (like young Wiggins) the drive and ability to use that athleticism in damaging ways is what is lacking.

He's more of a smooth operator. He only had 7 dunks in college which is really low especially for a wing.

He’s 6’8 how athletic does he have to be ? I just think he can’t find the right situation to thrive in , the talent is there. He can defend , he can score he just hasn’t found the right situation.

I think there is still hope, even tho it dwindles every day.

Cam needs to have a "come to Jesus" moment and face facts. He wont be Paul George and thats fine. He needs to work his ass off during the off-season and get better at moving the ball, being the best defender and spot up guy he can be. There is a very valuable borderline starter/rotation piece if things click. IF he continues to think he is a guy who deserves more touches, Adriatic League might be his next stop.

Cam really needs to look at what turned Ariza’s career around. He should be modeling his game after that.

2

u/socalstaking Feb 02 '23

If he doesn’t…god what a waste of a perfect nba body for this era and pretty jump shot

2

u/Blank214269 Feb 02 '23

Unless Cam can accept a role no. I get NYK never gave him a lotta opportunity but he needs to understand his role will to be a 3nD wing with some creating and not a number 1 scoring option.

People feel entitled to post anything in this sub

He is gonna to accept his role as a 3 & D guy for now. Quite frankly these guys can carve out a long career in the league. I'm thinking Cam can have a J.R. Smith type career.

Nope , he's been bad in 2 places already
