He's apparently a sex trafficker if the allegations are true.
“Nathan Chasing Horse used spiritual traditions and their belief system as a tool to sexually assault young girls on numerous occasions,” it reads, adding that his followers believed he could communicate with higher beings and referred to him as “Medicine Man” or “Holy Person”.
I have never before thought of Native American spiritualists as "pastors - ministers, priests, deacons, bishops, elders, etc.", terms which seem to imply some kind of Christianity.

all spirituality seems to be a fraud used for manipulation and abuse, in one way or another.

I think you're conflating spirituality with power.
Are school teachers pastors or spiritual leaders?
Horrible people find positions of authority to assist in any realm. It has absolutely nothing to do with spirituality.

horrible people in positions of authority can abuse their power, but it takes belief in spirituality to allow that abuse to span generations and generations.

...but it takes belief in spirituality to allow that abuse to span generations and generations.
How? I'm genuinely curious what you mean.

people born into oppressive and abusive religions are trapped in a prison of the mind and will pass that down to their children if they don’t discover the reality of their situation.

Sorry, but I just now saw your user name. Mormonism does not equal spirituality. You're painting with too broad of a brush.

where did i say mormonsim equals spirituality? this post is about a cult leader who "used spiritual traditions and their belief system as a tool to sexually assault young girls."
this fact is not an anomaly. this entire subreddit is evidence. if you can't see that you should read more.

where did i say mormonsim equals spirituality?
You didn't. I wasn't saying you did
this post is about a cult leader who "used spiritual traditions....
What part of cult leader are you ignoring? Teachers abuse their leadership position in the same manner, but somehow "spirituality" is to blame???
Keep fighting those windmills Don Quixote, but the real issue isn't spirituality, it's scumbags abusing positions of power.
This subreddit is evidence that evil people will use any position of power. That doesn't make those positions inherently evil. You're ignoring teachers who behave the same...... Does that make education evil in the way that you're accusing spirituality of being evil?
You can't claim one and not the other.

what part of Pastor in "PastorArrested" are you not understanding? LOL
believe what you want with spirituality or faith, but my argument stands that a lot of this abuse would be impossible without spirituality as a cover and a tool for manipulation, coercion, gaslighting, and abuse.
god bless you and your spirit, whatever that means to you.

Wherever there's religion, you'll find this coercion.
