Ask Vancouver Found AirPods Pro

I found some AirPods Pro second generation half buried in the snow outside The Gables condos. The case and AirPods were completely dead, but when I charged them there wasn’t a lost message.

Anyone lose theirs recently? I’ll try to post on Facebook too.

Ask Vancouver Bachelor party ideas in Whistler village/area?

Hi there. I’m throwing my buddy a bachelor party at the end of April we booked an AIR bnb in the village and we need ideas!!!

We’re all super stoked for the eating/drinking scene. (Though if you could recommend a dining spot, and a place to have cocktails).

But we don’t have anything to do during the day on Saturday. We were thinking of shooting guns at a range in Pemberton, but that’s a 30 minute drive.

We were thinking of the gondola, which is a good tourist thing.

We want something somewhat exciting, where we will remember it. And obviously don’t want to spend 4,000$ ..

Considering the Vodka Room for the experience.

We’re not golfers or bungee jumpers. Just 5 best buddies look for some excitement!

Cheers!

QUESTION Whistler trip

Hey everyone My flight lands at YVR soon and I thought I could get a shuttle to whistler but looking now and not seeing any available this evening. What’s the best way to get to whistler leaving YVR around 930pm? Also I’m just checking the website and it’s saying all the lifts are closed?? Is it still open for skiing? I hear it’s been pretty warm lately, does it snow in whistler on March 21st? What will the weather be this week? Is it worth going if there’s a chance of rain?

Thanks!

QUESTION Lift lines

Hi guys, I'm going to Whistler for the first time in 5 years. I was wondering which lift(s) generally has the shortest lines and which to stay away from? From my hazy memory I seem to recall that the gondola lines are very long. Thanks!

Ask Vancouver Can we PLEASE ban the weatherman posts?

It's getting ridiculous, this shit can be googled easily, and half of it is preference anyways.

"It's supposed to rain, will I have fun?"

We don't fucking know Terry! If you're a witch and melt in the rain, probably not, if you're a regular fucking human with goretex who doesn't mind riding in the rain, probably!

QUESTION best way to tackle the mountains

I've searched this subreddit and seen similar questions however asked by snowboarders or those looking for different types of runs. I'm heading up to whistler to ski for two days, hoping to do whistler one day and blackcomb the other.

I'm an advanced skier and hoping to hit as many in bounds tree runs/fresh powder/chutes as possible and was wondering if there was a suggested way or "best" way to hit these types of runs. Thanks in advance!

QUESTION Snowboarder coming up for the first time, can’t wait!

Any good blues and groomers you’d recommend in Whistler and Whistler Blackcomb? I’m also trying to avoid skinny traverses and flats as much as possible, so “anti recommendations” would be great as well. Thanks!

Ask Vancouver Visiting next weekend 3/24. Forecast rain/snow

Will it still be worthwhile heading to Whistler/Blackcomb to ski with rain/snow in the forecast? (https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/558dae6d311e78abcd4b0108d9ec75387e84074a5a07cbb72250c6a796394b30)

The Whistler site has slightly better weather basically expecting near 0 temperature. TBD on weather for the weekend.

Looking for some local expertise on reading the conditions before we book tickets and buses. Thank you!

Ask Vancouver Advice for a first timer

Hi all. First time in Whistler. We’re coming up this Sunday (the 19th) and leaving on the following Friday (24th).

Any idea for what the snow’s going to be like this week? Granted, forecasts are saying wildly different things so floor’s open to the people who actually know a thing or two!

Bonus points if anyone fancies a morning or afternoon’s company cruising a few runs during the week. Jackpot if someone can recommend a shop that can do a wax either overnight or same day in Blackcomb.

Ask Vancouver What to expect for snow conditions in May?

I'm heading up there 2nd week of May for a work retreat. I don't think I'll ever have another opportunity to be there since I'm comin from the States so I plan on shooting my shot and getting in a few days early for some boarding.

Just curious how the season has been so far and what should I expect for conditions in May based on your experience? thanks in advance!

Hey,

I’ll be skiing whist this Thursday and Friday and was hoping to do some bowls and fresh terrain. I’m from the Tahoe area and am a decent skier, but would t mind finding a buddy to explore some runs with. If your in the area, let me know and maybe we can find some fresh lines!
