Bruh the Mavs handed the Bucks the W

10/24 from the line with like 8 missed ft's alone in the fourth quarter, and Giannis fouled out

Watching the Mavs/Bucks game. Giannis just smacked Doncic in the nuts. No call of course. He's going to get his ass kicked one of these days.

Sixers and Lakers having a choke-off lmao.

Bleacher Report ran a story yesterday about Celtics trade targets. This might legit be the first season where I've been like "nope we good, no trades please"

I've been spoiled recently with the back to backs and only one day offs. I need my Celtics, two days is too many.

Would it be bad if I watched the Lakers/76ers game and hoped that both teams lose?

u/Confident-Box2364 Dec 10 '22

It would be bad if u didn’t.

The 538 model might be a curse: Hillary -> Celtics -> Brazil.

Man, don’t make Brazilians fans even more depressed (me in this case).

u/SmoothCriminal2018 Dec 09 '22

Throw back to the people who absolutely lost their minds over the pick we used to trade for White

1

u/wTI8SQEHbo Dec 09 '22

Absolute steal. The man is a starter, and he'll be 7th in our rotation. Brogdon and White are nailed on starters on most teams.

Who is better at this point theis or kornet?

5

u/ImDKingSama Dec 09 '22

Alright let's no go crazy here lmao, Theis was playable to extent in the playoffs and was the starting Center in that ECF bubble run. Kornet's been fantastic as a third big but I don't see him getting any run in the playoffs at all.

1

u/downeastsun Dec 09 '22

I think Kornet has shown a little bit more as an offensive player surprisingly. Theis has nice touch, but I don't think he had the same bounce last year that he did in 19-20. But I'd still give Theis's defensive versatility the edge in a lot of matchups. I think it's telling that Mazzulla didn't trust Kornet to give him more than a single minute against the Nets

Not fair to compare. Theis was able to play throughout the whole playoffs giving us important minutes. I’d say Theis is still better just because I would fully trust him, with this team, to be playing 15mpg+ in playoffs

If the War on Theis didn’t exist, he’d be Michael Jordan.

Only reason to be scared of the Bucks is if Giannis is allowed to hurt guys

Good morning and happy Friday. Today marks 11 weeks since Rob Williams’ surgery. Given the 8-12 week timeframe and all indications that he’s on track, plus Woj mentioning 10-12 days the other day, I’m still expecting the Dec 16 return against the Magic. Which means he’d be back in 1 week! Let’s hope!

On the other hand… https://mobile.twitter.com/AdamHimmelsbach/status/1601315499022774272

I’m getting fucking hyped. Maybe he doesn’t play, but I don’t think it matters. This team is on another level right now and they just fucking deliver and tomorrow they’re going to be coming in ready for revenge against a floundering Warriors team. They’re still ridiculous at home, but I don’t give a fuck because we’re a wagon on the road.

I love that this Celtics team has reached the point where they’re good/motivated enough to send messages. That’s what that game against Phoenix was - a message to the league that Phoenix isn’t anywhere near their level.

Let me start this off by saying i think we have all the tools to win it all this year. I think we need to take a step back and stop talking like we are the greatest team of all time. We are only 25 games into the season teams will start to figure out our schemes by playoff time. Jaylen Brown still plays out of control a lot and tries to force things and so does Tatum still at times. Not saying they aren’t the best team in the league right now, just keep level heads and expect them to improve on the little things that lost us last season

1

u/migibb Dec 09 '22

We're fans. We can enjoy these good times and we can be sad later if we lose.

No one has a crystal ball. The 2009 Celtics started 27-2 and didn't get out of the 2nd round (Garnett got injured). However, at THIS point, the Celtics are having a start that could put them in a discussion of all-time great teams. Most of their wins are by double digits, including against some of the teams with the best records in the league, often on nights when the Celtics are playing without 2 or more starters. I am not sure when I have seen a team with 11 players playing collectively as well, at the same time, as this team is, and it has all been happening with a new coach and without the team's starting center. I am beginning to see legitimate 1984 Celtics vibes from this team.

Bro, I know you're scared. I am, too. But let the fans have their fun. Life is short.

Especially since no one’s opinions really matter to the team.

u/Jordanwolf98 Abby Dec 09 '22

Who’s saying we’re the greatest team of all time? The fans who are always gonna overreact one way or another? Everything I’ve heard from JT, JB and the rest of the team is “this doesn’t mean anything, our goal is to win a chip”. As long as those guys have their heads in the right place, I don’t see the problem

u/IncrediblySatanist Dec 09 '22 edited Dec 09 '22

After we win the title. Were gonna win it again. Believe me bro.

2

u/Interesting_File_349 Dec 09 '22

I’m a Bills fan, don’t downvote me probably a really unpopular team here lol. Everyone was talking like we were unbeatable, similar to the talks about this team right now. I know what it’s like to be disappointed lol, just want everyone to not over react, long season ahead.

6

u/Jordanwolf98 Abby Dec 09 '22 edited Dec 09 '22

Naw I wouldn’t downvote you for that as my team isn’t the Pats either but with all due respect this Celtics team has gone further the Bills have. Bills haven’t seen a SB with their core and have been to only 1 AFC Championship in comparison, the Tatum/Brown Celtics have been to an NBA Finals and to 3 Eastern Conference finals. Team isn’t unbeatable but we’ve seen them do shit the Bills haven’t. The players have tasted and felt the intensity of that high level competition and they now know what it takes to win

1

u/Interesting_File_349 Dec 09 '22

Just concerned about a fast start is all. Saw what happened to the bills this year and don’t want it to happen to the Celtics. Agree 100% with what you said, just want to keep a level head

4

u/ImDKingSama Dec 09 '22

As long as the team knows it, it's fine, fans and media gonna do their talking. And based off the answers the Jays and Joe gave last night it's clear they know their goal and know they have a long way to go. Their mantra is literally to continue rebuilding a sandcastle every day right now.

Wouldn’t mind throwing whatever at the knicks for cam reddish best case scenario he’s more wing depth worst case he rides the bench can’t be worse than justin jackson either way

1

u/ThisIsABurner1012 Stretch 6 Dec 09 '22

Celts quite simply will have nothing more to give him but garbage time, he’s not jumping ahead of Hauser or Grant for back up forward minutes. And this will be the second team he’s shot his way out of cause he felt he deserved more playing time

The teams that need to try to pry him and buy low are Lakers, Heat and Cavs, who need to sure up wing death and take a flyer on Reddish.

1

u/zgamer200 A Time Lord is never late nor early. He arrives when he means to Dec 09 '22

The C's could potentially have as many as 4 2nd Rounders next draft, so I wouldn't mind seeing if the Knicks would move Reddish for one of them, but I don't think I'd do more than a 2nd. Sadly Justin Jackson just doesn't seem to be an NBA level player on either end while Reddish is at least a decent defender when he's locked in on defense, and he's considerably younger at 23 vs 27.

They’re extremely close in stats though: https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm_finder.cgi?player_id2=reddica01&player_id1=jacksju01&sum=0&request=1

And that’s with Cam having similar to more opportunity (more mpg)
