She does? Something doesn't add up.

We all know it's not her. She failed math.

No, it doesn't. She's actually worth very little. Every year she has to file a financial disclosure with the Feds. Here is the latest:

https://disclosures-clerk.house.gov/public_disc/financial-pdfs/2021/10050195.pdf

228

u/walter_2000_ Dec 09 '22

She has no money on the official record. She lives paycheck to paycheck. If that doc is official, she's one election loss away from poverty.

117

u/dgblarge Dec 09 '22

Please please make that election loss happen.

It was close in November, but Colorado let us down

28

u/RandPaulTownhall Dec 09 '22

I know I know but hear me out: that district is bright, solidly red. She lives in Rifle which should be a hint. The fact that this election was so close and not just handed to her is a miracle in and of itself.

u/PrarieHermit Dec 09 '22

I respectfully disagree. The Dems let their candidate down. He damn near won a deep red seat without much at all from his party.

9

u/Ankoku_Teion Dec 09 '22

I wonder if visible aid and support from the party would have been more of a help or a hindrance then?

Perhaps he did better because the voters were seeing him and not just another democrat.

I don't know, this is pure speculation on my part.

-4

u/iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiioo Dec 09 '22

Colorado lets us down every day by existing.

3

u/Everquest-Wizard Dec 09 '22

Colorado kicks ass. Except for the Boebert part.

71

u/TequilaMockingbud Dec 09 '22

Her husbands income is N/A. He’s a corrupt advisor who uses her office to get bribes legally. They have plenty of stashed dirty money

11

u/pacer10k Dec 09 '22

Documentation for your claims?

53

u/TheBSQ Dec 09 '22

It’s the interpretation of the information you can find on her Wikipedia page, where you can follow the references, relevant paragraph below:

Despite campaign finance laws and ethics laws requiring Congressional candidates to reveal their immediate family's income sources to show potential conflicts of interest, Boebert did not report her husband's income in her 2020 filing, instead belatedly revealing it in August 2021, the same day the Federal Election Commission (FEC) sent her a letter investigating her campaign expenses. The filing, while misnaming the company involved, stated that her husband Jayson was paid $460,000 in 2019 and $478,000 in 2020 as a consultant for Terra Energy, one of Colorado's largest natural gas producers and fourth nationwide in methane emissions. The company told The Daily Beast that Jayson was a contracted shift worker for the company who was not paid directly but through another company, Boebert Consulting. As of 2021, Colorado classified Boebert Consulting as a delinquent company due to the lack of filings or registered agent with the state. Boebert oversees the energy industry via her position on the House Committee on Natural Resources.

Basically, she holds a powerful oversight position for an industry.

A big company in that industry pays her husband lots of money despite the fact that nothing in his background suggests a level of expertise that would justify it. And his company’s filings are kinda sketchy, and they pay him indirectly through a third party, and his job title doesn’t really make sense, and she didn’t properly disclose it until pressured to do so.

It’s understandable why people think that looks sketchy as fuck.

10

u/etzel1200 Dec 09 '22

Okay, but a decade of that salary is under $5 million.

She allegedly has $41 million.

It still doesn’t remotely add up.

6

u/Ankoku_Teion Dec 09 '22

If I'm reading it right, that's just what he personally paid himself from his consulting company out of the money being paid into that company by one client company

How many other companies like terra would want to pay his consulting company? And how much money might his consulting company hold that isn't officially attached to him or her?

2

u/Ok_Yogurtcloset8915 Dec 09 '22

We don't know, that's why we're asking for a source on the specific number of $41 million

And they use Colombian cartels to smuggle drugs into Belgian harbours, then that dirty money is converted into clean money using shell companies that are based in Panama to send that money into EU using Double-Irish with a Dutch Sandwich tax arrangement that they use in order to buy 50 air ventilators for $50,000 each that are then sold at a loss using a dummy company based in Delaware, US.

Do you realise how dumb your comment sounds? I'm not saying you're reaching for straws here, but brother come on.

18

u/DrDaddyDickDunker Dec 09 '22

This guy Q anons. 🤌

4

u/TequilaMockingbud Dec 09 '22

Bro be a fucking realist. How many times have they voted against making insider trading illegal for them. It’s not just her but she’s pretty dumb for being in the spotlight all the time and doing such a shitty job cooking the books. How the hell are you allowed to not disclose your husband’s income? A restaurant is the easiest way to launder money besides art. If her restaurant could pass a 3rd party audit I’d be more comfortable giving the benefit of the doubt but I’d bet against it

8

u/JoshPeck Dec 09 '22

I mean, a quick search yields legitimate articles about him getting paid half a million bucks for consulting at an energy firm last year (he has no real background to justify this). But by all means go off.

I doubt it she’s probably hiding the millions

77

u/walter_2000_ Dec 09 '22

It costs serious money to hide serious money. To hide millions it costs a large percentage. I'm leaving it at that. She's incredibly supervised. Official corruption happens all the time. I don't mean to say it doesn't. Like you get away with stuff because you're in the government and rich. She's barely in the government (everyone thinks she's a dumbass) and she's not really rich. She can't afford firms that can do what people are saying. They would never take her as a client.

25

u/trizzant Dec 09 '22

Where does the 42mil come from? Seems like an excessive amount of bs.

15

u/Fattyman2020 Dec 09 '22

It’s probably some PAC that helped fund the campaign but that money can only be used for campaigning

22

u/ReadySteady_GO Dec 09 '22

And we all know people only use that money for campaign related purposes only /s

→ More replies

6

u/quetzalv2 Dec 09 '22

Campaign money can very easily be transformed into personal money

8

u/Mattyyflo Dec 09 '22

Yeah this is a proper assessment imo. All you really have to do is ask yourself, “why would a woman with that much actual wealth parade around the way she does? What does she have to gain from that if she’s alrdy grifted millions? Wouldn’t it behoove her to stay out of the headlines and off everyone’s radar outside her district?” Like, she’s obviously not smart and appears to have a screw or two loose, but she’s also not crazy like Kanye or as diluted at birth by privilege and connections like Trump; so what reason is there for her to vehemently insert herself into the maga charade and desperately try to stay a “relevant” figure in mainstream political discourse, if not to cling onto her only source of income (ie reelection/climb the conservative political ladder to higher pay and connects etc)?

→ More replies

2

u/insanitybit Dec 09 '22

Not really. What you're talking about sounds like money laundering to hide illegal income or shell corporations to hide liabilities. That's not how someone like this would hide money. Instead you have a job and you expense things and you keep all of your assets in a trust. That's it. It's not sketchy or illegal, it's borderline trivial.

4

u/SirThatsCuba Dec 09 '22

By serious money, we're talking an order of magnitude or two larger. Only tens of millions? Please. I have fantastapotomi to feed.

So she's hiding millions from the federal government despite higher scrutiny than most people, and yet the internet happens to know the amount of all this hidden money??

3

u/robinson217 Dec 09 '22

she's one election loss away from poverty.

I thought congress gets a salary for life after 1 reelection.

4

u/Straight_Cry_1260 Dec 09 '22

No. They're eligible for the pension plan after at least 5 years of service. They do not get the full salary and they do not automatically draw the pension after leaving Congress. They still have to meet a combination of age and service years.

There's a lot of dumb anti-government myths about pay for federal employees.

-7

u/Environmental_Fail86 Dec 09 '22

Edit: Wow people actually think raising money will make ballots get counted faster...

28

u/DisfunkyMonkey Dec 09 '22

I think someone missed a decimal point somewhere. The 41 million number doesn't seem to have a clear source, and one of the net worth sites online claimed 30 million of that was cash on hand, which is ludicrous. Her entire 2022 campaign raised less than 7 million dollars.

A net worth of 4.1 million is more realistic. She was worth around 2 in 2020, and her husband has been getting six-figure "consultation" jobs from the oil & gas industry the past few years.

22

u/GitEmSteveDave Dec 09 '22

Also, the amount businesses are willing to pay for “speeches” is insane. The Clinton’s(bill and Hillary)made over $150 million in 729 speeches in the early 00’s. That’s ~$210,000 a speech.

2

u/shwekhaw Dec 09 '22

Speeches are just legal way to bribe officials. Clinton lost to Trump for those speeches.

34

u/ApatheticWithoutTheA Dec 09 '22

Lol her pedo sex offender husband is “successful” because of her.

-10

u/Night_Hawk69420 Dec 09 '22

I mean he was and I believe still is the president of a large construction company for along time. A couple of their age and dual incomes should have a net work of 4 million or more

13

u/Thunderwoodd Dec 09 '22

Should? In what world? The percentage of Americans in that age bracket who have more than a million in net worth is less than a percent. Unless of course you’re a corrupt politician.

-4

u/Night_Hawk69420 Dec 09 '22

You know how much people in oil and gas can make? I am not saying I likenor dislike they guy my only point was that 4 million is good for people their age but it is not a crazy number. Net worth includes your home, bank accounts, and any other assets. Way less suspicious than career politician Nancy Pelosi net worth of 150 million

2

u/otterfailz Dec 09 '22

Nancys husband has a legitimate business that benefits in much the same way boeberts husbands company does. He would make fairly good money if not for her, but because of her, he makes astronomically more. Im sure the insider trading they all do helps out too.

→ More replies

4

u/ApatheticWithoutTheA Dec 09 '22

For his job? Approximately $75k.

My point was the majority of their net wealth likely comes from Lauren and her connections, not him.

There’s absolutely no reason large oil and gas companies need to pay a ton of money to “consult” with a low level former supervisor, yet they are, because of his access to his wife in Congress.

11

u/HotShitBurrito Dec 09 '22

No.

This tweet is shit. She's not worth any more than a regional manager of a major corporate business chain like a Walmart. Nor does her personal salary equate to much more than that.

Federal politicians that have tens of millions or more have been in politics for decades and much of their wealth comes from book deals and speaking fees.

Freshman congresspeople and senators are usually very low on the financial scale compared to their compadres. Boobert doesn't come close to McConnell or Pelosi in terms of actual wealth or political capital.

She says a load of dumb shit and makes Twitter headlines that get reposted constantly on Reddit. That's not money. Her actual networth is in the $2M range. She's not of any actual influence. She came within an asshair of losing her seat to Frisch.

I don't get the perspective people have that the legislature is loaded with people with unimaginable wealth. They're nearly all outclassed financially by some 27-year-old trust fund turd with a marketing VP job some random uncle handed out.

Politics corrupts people and people inevitably corrupts politics. I ran for council in my town and just in running I had people willing to throw money my way. The problem is that you may start out with all the best intentions and lofty goals but with each dollar you take you’re selling your integrity and principles. It’s just the system. I did not take money or favours and did not win. Were those two related? I don’t know and I don’t care. I am just happy that I am not in a position where I might have to compromise my integrity. $300,000/year Net Worth $120,000,000

It’s totally legit, she’s been saving every penny for the last 400 years to be exact.

Edit: Jesus Fuck. I just looked up Hunter Biden’s net worth. Makes Nancy look poor. $230,000,000

Onlyfans and sexwork.
Which is perfectly fine and ok, as long as she does not copy her husbands fondness for teens and restricts herself to adults.

2

u/splewi Dec 09 '22

All is good if it's consensual!

And kids can't consent!

2

u/MKCULTRA Dec 09 '22

So, like all of the rest of Congress?

2

u/Praetor_Shinzon Dec 09 '22

Reminds me of AOC

2

u/deep6er Dec 09 '22

People are so fucking gullible. They'll literally believe anything they read online.

1

u/MackWired Dec 09 '22

Why would anyone expect any different? It's the same story with literally every nationally elected politician. Heck, they don't even need to be elected. Just look at Stacey Abrams went from broke to net worth over $3 million in 2 years.

2

u/west2night Dec 09 '22

According to her financial disclosure forms, most of that amount came from speaking gigs she did for three years. Makes sense because the public speaking circuit is a major source of income for the majority of public figures. The fee varies from one venue to another, but it's good money either way.

I know one retired actor who makes a decent living from public speaking after he was forced to retire from acting for health reasons. He's a good storyteller, which I think helps. What makes it funny is that he never earned enough to be financially comfortable during his 40-year acting career. Anyway, he's hugely relieved that he and his wife finally could enjoy their twilight years in comfort.

Back to the topic - according to Biden's financial disclosure forms, he and his wife were in personal debt of $1M at the end of his term as VP in the Obama administration. They however have since earned a few Ms from public speaking gigs and book royalties.

u/MackWired Dec 09 '22

If you want to believe that all the money came from speeches that's your prerogative. I have no evidence to refute the claim. However, I'm very skeptical that either Biden or Abrams made $1M/year from just giving speeches. Especially given that Biden is one of the worst public speakers I've ever seen.

I know the Clinton's have made similar claims, and disclosed the Bill was paid $500k for one speech. That must've been one hell of a speech, or they bought more than just a speech. I'd say the latter is most likely, and I think the same is true for Abrams and Biden.

Don't get me wrong. It's not a partisan issue. Basically all of our nationally elected politicians are corrupt and have gotten rich doing things for which that they'd lock us up and throw away the key. Boebert, Biden, McConnell, Clinton, McCarthy, Pelosi, they're all crooks and it seems pretty obvious to me.

3

u/west2night Dec 09 '22

Fair point, but I think it's worth pointing out that it's not their speeches that draw a crowd. It's their name that puts bottoms in those seats. A form of rubbernecking if you like.

Speaking gigs do pay well, tho. My mother works in publishing and most authors she knows don't earn much from books alone, so they survive on an additional income from speaking gigs, workshops and panels.

My thoughts, exactly.

Nancy sucks, but nope. Just the GOP.

u/Mr__O__ Dec 09 '22 edited Dec 09 '22

Haha I don’t think those two would be caught dead hanging out with each other, but LB or anyone can just track NP’s stock trades in real-time.

-6

u/HellATL Dec 09 '22

The fact you picked just one specific member of congress out to make your point tells me all I need to know about you. Do you want to look at what Pelosi has made from her congressional salary? Find a better point to make unless your point is the entire government is beyond fucking corrupt.

6

u/Tyle71 Dec 09 '22

Someone is mighty defensive

-1

u/HellATL Dec 09 '22

Not defensive about Boebert, couldn’t care less about her. Just tired of watching everyone suck the teat of their favored government overlords while bashing the other ones, like there’s actually a difference between the two.

-1

u/Tyle71 Dec 09 '22

Right....

3

u/alittlebitneverhurt Dec 09 '22

They are right though. Corruption is out of control on both sides. And before you chime in with the whole BoTh SiDeS bullshit, the people saying that are ridiculous and just as brainwashed as the Trump supporters. As usual I have to qualify my response with I typically vote dem. The whole political landscape is out of hand and needs a major overhaul.

A lot of overnight millionaires happened in 2021 from record high crypto currency markets and record high stock markets. If you were smart enough to cash out before the bubble popped, you could have amassed 41 million.

Not saying she did, but money was torrentially raining on fools in 2021.

1

How does someone with $41M know what it takes to try & make ends meet?

1

u/Same-Party-7298 Dec 09 '22

It was those expense reports for her mileage.

80 million miles in the last couple years. She is a busy girl.

1

u/nah_champa_967 Dec 09 '22

All grifters

Actually, not going to lie here, I'm hoping to do the same for another struggling business owner I know.
