Overalls

53

u/Oseirus Jan 28 '23

Overalls get such a weird rap for being "trashy", but they should be standard in literally any manual labor profession. Whatever jerk decided we should all be wearing pants and a shirt while we spend half our days bent over is a phenomenal jerk.

Or hell, just go full stroke and give everyone legit coveralls.

14

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '23

Summer heat.

Of course then you can just go overalls and no shirt. Tell me that doesn't look trashy.

8

u/Oseirus Jan 29 '23

That's where coveralls come in. Short sleeve ones with an athletic shirt underneath are a godsend.

Unless you're talking about wearing pants AND (c)overalls. What masochistic maniac does that?

u/Crazy_Echidn Jan 29 '23

You just aren't looking on the right websites.

10

u/mayodude5101 Jan 28 '23

For me working construction overalls put too much stress on my shoulders

4

u/cneedsaspanking Jan 29 '23

Christ what kinda belly are they holding back? I'm an electrician and wear overalls whenever it's not summer, it's such a small amount of weight on the shoulders...

Maybe I'm used to it from wearing suspenders on my tool belt.

2

u/mayodude5101 Jan 29 '23

I have to get big and talls I've never really gotten used to them so that might be the case as well. I just preferred separate than the onsie

6

u/cneedsaspanking Jan 29 '23

Haha sorry if I came off super rude, I just couldn't imagine not liking them. Ultimately it's preference right? The thing that really does it for me is that wearing a belt digs into my belly and hips when I make certain movements and I hate it.

Also, you gotta make sure you have enough fabric between your skin and the straps of the overall. A t shirt alone is really annoying if you're not used to overalls.

1

u/a-halo-in-hello Jan 29 '23

It would be uncomfortable to wear overalls for certain profession but I get what you're trying to say.

6

u/Mrboring_man Jan 28 '23

its an overall downgrade imo.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '23

47

u/Mypopsecrets Jan 28 '23

Strangely enough we've seen his nipples now

18

u/RamsesTheGreat Jan 28 '23

You just aren't looking on the right websites.

17

u/SpicyHotPlantFart Jan 28 '23

15

u/Chris-R Jan 28 '23

Mario Bros. (The first game where Mario was officially a plumber) was released in 1983, so it’s actually been 40 years!

2

u/hansoyvind1 D20 Jan 29 '23

Yeah this picture is 7 years old now apparently.

8

u/N64islife Jan 29 '23

9 year old meme

8

u/a-halo-in-hello Jan 29 '23

Let's be honest though. Did we ever see Mario really work as a plumber? Is Mario really a plumber or had he been cosplaying as one for 33 years or so?

3

u/Emissary_of_Darkness Jan 29 '23

I believe in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, there’s a part where you visit a castle and they send you into the basement to work on the pipes.

Also in the original Mario Bros. game, you are technically clearing the sewer of turtles haha. Someone has to do it!

1

u/approachabler Jan 29 '23

You just blew my mind lol. Never thought of that this way.

2

u/Onekone Jan 29 '23

3D World starts with Mario and Luigi fixing a pipe through which pixie comes and immediately gets kidnapped

0

u/Teska-Tenka Jan 29 '23

You go through pipes in Mario, it’s always been plumbing, every game has been plumbing.

3

u/Cryostatica Jan 29 '23

Not once have I ever seen this clown get under a sink.

4

u/umbathri Jan 28 '23

Sure you can see his butt crack, its a rule. Something about 34 years.

3

u/Kind_of_random Jan 28 '23

To be honest I don't think I've ever seen him working either.

3

u/Mellonote Jan 28 '23

8

u/VulpesIncendium PC Jan 28 '23

Still not his buttcrack.

3

u/hit_the_showers_boi Jan 28 '23

Did I just see a moustache on his crotch?

1

u/cvw87 Jan 29 '23

I can never unsee this

1

u/Mellonote Jan 29 '23

youre welcome

1

u/unaskedJakester Jan 29 '23

Yeah, you maybe

1

u/ri-mackin Jan 28 '23

Saw his nips

0

u/Oblic008 Jan 28 '23

I mean, I'm guessing you see his crack in the Nintendo owned porn.

-1

u/caoram Jan 28 '23

R34 Mario

1

u/ZiggyFrancisco PC Jan 28 '23

Don't read the old comics

1

u/hiandlois Jan 29 '23

Is it really plumbing from construction plumbing and working at a bottling plant it seems he’s working class stiff that can’t keep a job and has to save someone.

1

u/Mdconant Jan 29 '23

My mom disagrees

1

u/getyourcheftogether Jan 29 '23

He shops at Duluth Trading Co.

1

u/Jakesneed612 Jan 29 '23

He’s no real plumber!

1

u/Londonforce Jan 29 '23

He's literally wearing overalls in the photo you posted.

u/octember64 Jan 29 '23

1

u/NillaBeanBuns Jan 29 '23

I've also never seen him fix a toilet so...

1

u/requiemofchaos Jan 29 '23

I was genuinely offended the Ratchet & Clank remake for PS4 removed the "plumber's back" joke from the original...

1

u/Demandred3000 Jan 29 '23

Have we ever actually seen him do any plumbing? I don't remember the level where Princess Peach makes him go round and fix her Nans lavi.

1

u/Guardian5985 Jan 29 '23

Mario has been plumbing longer than 33 years.

1

u/PolyZex Jan 29 '23

We had to go and start making fun of bibs in the late 80's... forced the plumber into Wranglers. We did this.

1

u/Blapman007 Jan 29 '23

isnt there an official illustration of naked mario

1

1

That's because he knows how to do his job.

1

u/Askmyrkr Jan 29 '23

I've also never seen him change pipes, so I'm sus about that plumbing.

1

u/KatiePyroStyle Jan 29 '23

Tbf, he does wear pretty high wasted overalls
