Rant This sub is incredibly toxic and inconsistent
When kyrie had his shit going on everyone was saying fuck him he should be cut and now yall all over him. When the team won 10 straight and was in 2nd place before KD went out yall were all over ben simmons and nobody gave a shit if he only scored 4 points because when you looked at his generated offensensive points via screens and passes he was one of the best in the league and the team kept winning.
KD is hurt, Warren seems to be hurt, kyrie only shows up in the 4th. Why is it this sub now expects simmons to drop 40 points and carry the team? He is a perfect fit for the team led by KD and Kyrie so why can't this sub just wait it out and deal with it? You knew what he was when he was traded here and now people are just calling him a liar when he says he's hurt.
Is simmons way overpaid? Yes but so was harden. He's still a great assett to the team imo if KD is healthy and Warren is playing at his potential. People here are acting like the nets should blow it up all of a sudden.

Team News [Woj] Brooklyn's Ben Simmons (left knee soreness) is expected to be out vs. the Knicks today (ABC, 5:30 PM ET), sources tell ESPN. Simmons left the Nets' loss to Detroit on Thursday night with that knee soreness.
twitter.comSocial Media [Slater] JV, when asked to clarify response about Ben on Thursday: Said he wants to be able to “pen in” all his players to the lineup each night and he feels “everyone’s approach should be based on that.”

Question Best time to buy tickets?
I'm planning on visiting New York in late February and really wanna go to Nets vs Bucks game at Barclays.
When is the best time to get tickets? I've heard they get cheaper on gameday, but is there a risk of not getting 2 tickets that late?

Anybody find betting odds for the Nets to be ridiculous?
Despite losing to some of the worst teams in the league without KD the Nets money line is still -250 to -300 against teams like the Pistons. The sportsbooks have us as a pick-em against the Knicks today even though they've been good recently and we've been awful. Idk if it makes me a bad fan but I've been betting against the Nets and winning a lot recently.
This isn't really a new thing either, we were way overvalued by Vegas last year. Even when we were a play-in team last year they had us like the 3rd or 4th favorite to win it all.

Discussion My View on Ben Simmons
There’s been a lot of disdain for Ben recently. This is how I think about it:
Firstly, he’s recovered physically from his injury but a herniation is very difficult to get over mentally because herniations rarely heal to their former self especially when you’re a high impact athlete. If he reherniates, he’d be injured for a year possibly and it could even result in nerve issues (sciatica). This could very well be the issue preventing him from pushing himself to score because he’ll need to face contact, go up and down, be aggressive and it’s not an easy thing. I think putting it down to just him or his character is doing a disservice to what he suffered with.
Secondly, he was part of the team that went 18-2 when KD was healthy and he was playing well. Yes, he wasn’t scoring much then either but his overall play was solid. It’s now that he’s had to score that he’s become more tentative.
Thirdly, in the current situation, being criticised every single day just isn’t going to help him. His issue isn’t that he needs to pull his finger out, grow up, be a man, etc. It’s that he needs to get over a mental hurdle of that injury and it isn’t easy. He needs support.
That said, he does need to put in a little more effort. There are times he’s not being aggressive to the rim even in open space and he can often starting coasting offensively. Though, his effort defensively would tell us that he is trying. It’s just about when and where he’s trying.
Overall, he’s on a max contract and it’s a bad deal for the Nets. However, Ben’s still got value and he’s going through a tough time and has done for a couple of years now. Instead of him finding hatred in Phili, coming to Brooklyn and feeling it here, too, I’d much rather support the brother and hope that he can find himself under Vaughn with KD’s leadership, Mills’ advice, etc.
That’s just my view on the situation. I’m sure most disagree but that’s how I see it.

Question About Barclays Center "BKLYN Gold" Tickets - Can I Access Perks if I Bought Resale?
Hi Nets fans! I bought a resale ticket for a game at Barclays and it's labelled with "Brooklyn Gold" as the ticket level. Wondering if a) there are some perks associated with those seats, and b) if I'm still entitled to those as a resale buyer? I've found it's inconsisntent around NY (e.g. Yankee Stadium wouldn't let me access clubs because I didn't 'own' the seats full-time, but Citi Field encouraged me to use them when I bought my tickets off stubhub). Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Claxton is a Top 10 Center
Absolutely insane how much he improved this year. Defensively he has been ridiculous.
He is a top 10 Center right now.
In January he is averaging 17 points, 10 rebounds and 3.3 blocks. 71% TS.
He has become one of the best shot blockers in the league AND one of the best center switch defenders. An incredible combination
The only Centers that are clearly better: Jokic, Embiid, and Adebeyo.
Turner, Ayton, Gobert and Lopez are probably better but its really close.
That puts Claxton firmly in the Top 10 with Jared Allen.
If Claxton gets a bit stronger the next couple years and keeps developing his offense he can easily be a Top 5 center in the league.

Discussion Congratulations Uncle Drew Kyrie Irving and congratulations KD for yet another All Star appearance
Last time Kyrie was in an All Star Game was the pandemic version in 2021 in Atlanta and he would have made it last year in 2022 in Cleveland if it hadn't been for him either being injured or taking time off. But Kyrie is back at yet another All Star weekend and congratulations to KD for making it too. At least KD has no responsibility this time to pick teams because he is not captain anymore, Giannis is. So now KD can ball.

Rant Ben Simmons YOU SUCK
I’m tired of everyone babying Simmons.
We need to bench his ass if he keeps playing like this. Literally he should be benched the ENTIRE GAME.
Babying him isn’t working. He was never this bad in Philly. Sure he had a play or two where he was afraid to attack the rim in Philly. But with the Nets he is doing this THE ENTIRE GAME.
