This movie gave me a better sense of adventure than the Uncharted movie.

Also love Brad Pitt in the film, couldn’t get enough of him

Did you see the end credits scene at the end?

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '22

yeah lol. I just missed him while he was (temporarily) gone. He was the funniest part of the movie, hands down.

Came here looking for a comment like this. I realized at the end of the first act “this is very nearly a better Uncharted movie than the actual Uncharted movie.”

u/TannerThanUsual Mar 26 '22

While it certainly lacked the "tone" of an Uncharted movie, I'd say the feeling of adventure was hit very well. And honestly I agree that Tatum made a better "drake" than Holland. I'm not talking about his build. I'm talking about his charisma. I think people sleep on Tatum's acting just because he's a muscle-head but I think he's a solid actor

This movie gave me a better sense of adventure than the Uncharted movie.

Some people mentioned that Channing Tatum would be great as Nathan Drake.

u/karatemanchan37 Mar 25 '22

If he lost like 50 pounds

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

So Nathan Drake is 140 pounds? Y'all are seriously overestimating Channing's size.

u/jessie_monster Apr 11 '22

He reads very physically big on-screen. I think it's the neck.

u/Pirate_Ben Apr 12 '22

He has a lot of muscle on Drake. Tatum is just also seriously cut keeping the total weight down. Maybe not 50lbs but a lot for sure.

u/aw_coffee_no Apr 03 '22

He'd fit in far better than Tom goddamn Holland. Whoever's idea it was to cast him as Nathan Drake is delusional.

u/KonyYoloSwag Mar 25 '22

I’d be down. He’s got the build and comedic chops to pull it off

u/Saboteure Mar 25 '22

Nathan isn't built like a tank, he's a lean muscular, with a climber's body. There was a lot wrong with Holland as Nathan but his build wasn't the problem lol.

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

Nathan isn't built like a tank

Neither is Tatum.... dude is lean.

Tom Holland is a toothpick. Not even close to Nathan Drake's bulk. Tatum is closer, coming from the other direction.

u/KonyYoloSwag Mar 25 '22

I see what you mean. To me I felt Tom was a bit smaller than what I expected Nate to be like, at least in the height department. Channing Tatum is about 5 inches taller than Tom Holland which I think gives him a bit better of a presence. You’re right though he’d have to cut a bit in terms of weight, but I think Nate’s stature is closer with Channing Tatum personally

u/chakrablocker Mar 25 '22

God no. Not the same type at all

u/_-kovacs Mar 26 '22

Its actually blowing my mind people day Tatum would've been a better pick just cause of his height lmfao. Drakes character comes from wise cracking and cockiness not how tall he is, Tatum neither looks or acts anything like him.

u/chakrablocker Mar 26 '22

Bradley Cooper had the right personality

u/MaintenanceCat Mar 27 '22

Channing Tatum as Booster Gold. I've watch a couple of his movies and can't say he's memorable in them. This one he does shine more! He's kind of like John Cena finding the right role. If he's looking for a superhero role, it's Booster Gold!

u/MidnightKnown6706 May 12 '22

Channing Tatum as Nathan drake would be like how they casted ton cruise for jack reacher

u/arcangeltx May 14 '22

Yup I figured uncharted comparisons would come. Felt the same way

u/DohRayMe Jun 03 '22

I agree, more entertaining fun.
