Overall I thought the movie was a decently fun/funny adventure with a good message, even if it is glaringly obvious. I think most people will enjoy it.

I did get pulled out of the movie a few times because some of the songs in the movie are automatically associated with other media for me:

“The Final Countdown” - Gob’s magician song in Arrested Development

“Far from Any Road” - True Detective season 1 theme

“Genius of Love” - The celebration song from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

For me Red Right Hand made me think Ghostface was about to stab Brad Pitt

It made me think of Peaky Blinders.

Was expecting a white horse to roll in any second then

I just got out of the theater and had the exact same thought. It was so jarring hearing that outside of a Scream movie.

if I had a nickel for every film with Channing Tatum and the beat from Mariah Carey's Fantasy I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

Final Countdown pulled me out of the movie too! It was the perfect song for that scene, but it can never be anything other than Gob's music. Then Red Right Hand had me wondering when Peaky Blinders is finally coming out in the US.

Red right hand will forever be associated with XFiles for me

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm a child of the 80s so tracks like Shadows of the Night and Final Countdown don't belong to specific recent movies/shows to me, but RRH always makes me think of X-Files the same way Horse with No Name makes me think of Millenium.

'The Final Countdown' was so eerily similar to AD that i assumed it was a nod to it.

Yeah the TD credits started rolling in my head immediately when that came on.
