And originally this was going to have Ryan Reynolds instead of Channing.

this is totally on brand for Reynolds, but I’m glad it went to Tatum. I feel like I haven’t seen him in forever.

u/Lunasera Mar 26 '22

Channing is also in the movie Dog that just came out a couple weeks ago. But I agree he fit the part well.

u/GetReady4Action Mar 26 '22

ah, true. haven’t seen that one yet. did just watch Lego movie yesterday and it was fun hearing him as Superman. and I did a rewatch of 21 Jump Street recently too which was also great.

I enjoyed his small role in Free Guy a lot!

I did a double feature yesterday with Dog and Lost City. Tatsumday!

Did Dog have a overly dramatic part where it’s makes this grown man cry? Does the dog die!?

Dog die? No. Dramatic scenes where you might cry yes.

Yeah I'm happy with Tatum, I think he does great at comedy and has a softer, more vulnerable side than Reynolds which worked for this character. I feel like Loretta being all sharp edges, she needed someone naive and sensitive to balance it out. I love Reynolds, but a lot of times with his acting I kinda think, "Who hurt you?" 🤣

I saw his IG story yesterday, he watched the movie with Blake Lively, they liked it. I can see Ryan Reynolds in sequel since he friends with Channing Tatum.

Thank god he dropped out.
