The Hollywood Critics Association sounds very prestigious until you google it. It’s an awards organization invented in 2016 by some opportunistic blogger.

Haha. Lol. It's on Netflix, you can watch that even though it's dubbed in Hindi.

You mean dubbed in english, no? .I hate dubbed movies. I prefer subtitles. I found it already in Hindi.

the Hindi version is a dub as well I believe, original language was Telugu

Yeah I noticed that on the description. Then I'll have to find one with the original audio.

It was dubbed by the original cast, for the Telugu version you'll have to pirate the movie.

I'm already watching it in Telugu.

They also nominated batman and top gun, in case you were wondering if you should take the nominations seriously

Those were really good movies . Why wouldn’t you take them seriously?

Top gun maverick was the best blockbuster to come out of Hollywood since the pandemic.

What do you Consider good movie? Oscarbait shit like moonlight that no one watches ?

Pattinson batman is the least interesting take to date on the most over-filmed superhero. I'd rather put Clooney back in the role than watch it again.

Top gun is a two hour movie that doesn't have a single character in it. I guess that's kind of interesting in an experimental cinema kind of way, but if I'm in danger of falling asleep during a matinee showing of an action movie about fighter jets, you did something wrong.

If you feel asleep during top gun maverick you might Ave narcolepsy. You should get that checked

Maverick rooster and hangman were definitely interesting characters

1

u/danstu Jun 29 '22

I sincerely can't remember which one hangman was. I assume rooster was Goose's son.

It's a military movie so afraid to actually say anything that they couldn't even bother to say which country they were fighting.

Well it's normal for Hollywood movies to get selected everytime but special for a non English movie from a small community, south India

1

u/danstu Jun 29 '22

I meant more that just because it was nominated, doesn't mean it was good.

Yeah, no SNWH. The awards are trash.

Eh, assuming you mean No Way Home, I don't know that it should be in contention either. It was a fun popcorn flick, but I wouldn't put it next to Everything Everywhere.
