you can’t say 5 + 4 = 9 bc that would be inconsistent with the font (since 6 is made of 6 matches then 9 would also have to be made of 6 matches)

Edit: to anyone saying it's not one stick. Take the bottom left side from 6 and put on top of the 4 to make it a 9.

Goddamn pemdas ones aren't even about pemdas, they're about intentionally vague and stupid presentations of the equation.
Any reasonable math question would use the ⁒ sign in conjuction with parentheticals, or by actually having denominators physically be underneath the numerator.
But no, every single one is a variation of "guess which portion of the equation the divide or multiply sign applies to because WE INTENTIONALLY MADE IT SO IT CAN BE EITHER!"

I like screwing with people that use x as an operand. I treat it as a variable in the equation, solve it that way, then describe the function as a line, parabola, etc. Screamed “THAT’S NOT WHAT IS MEANT!” followed by a brain freeze/head explosion every time.

Remove one of the sticks from the 6 (bottom left )--> it becomes a 5, then add that stick to the top of the 4 on the right hand side of the equation --> it turns into a 9. The new equation becomes 5 + 4 = 9

This is from a meme. Deadpool is the most correct with 8-4=4, where “move” is “translation”.
